Emoji Quiz Builder is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal data necessary to provide quiz creation and gameplay features.

data we collect

quiz content

  • • Quiz questions, emojis, answers, and hints you create
  • • Quiz metadata (title, topic, difficulty, visibility setting)
  • • Topic selection and usage statistics (aggregated, not linked to individuals)

device data

  • • Locally stored quiz IDs (stored only on your device via UserDefaults)
  • • No personal identification, email addresses, or user accounts required

ai generation data

  • • Quiz generation requests (topic, difficulty, custom instructions) are sent to OpenAI via our Supabase Edge Functions
  • • This data is used solely to generate quiz questions and is not stored long-term

how we use your data

  • • Quiz Storage: Quizzes are stored in our Supabase database to enable saving and sharing
  • • Public Quizzes: Quizzes marked as "public" are visible to all app users in the Discover feed
  • • Private Quizzes: Quizzes marked as "private" are only accessible to you
  • • Topic Popularity: We track which topics are most popular (aggregated counts) to improve topic recommendations

data storage

  • • Quizzes stored on Supabase servers (cloud-based)
  • • Your device stores only quiz IDs locally (not synced across devices)
  • • No personal identification data is collected or stored

third-party services

  • • Supabase: Database and backend infrastructure
  • • OpenAI: AI-powered question generation (data processed through our Edge Functions)

your control

  • • Delete your quizzes anytime through the app
  • • Choose public or private visibility for each quiz
  • • No account required means no registration data to manage

data sharing

  • • We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes
  • • Public quizzes are shared with the app community as intended by the feature
  • • AI generation requests are processed by OpenAI as a service provider

children's privacy

This app does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

changes to privacy policy

We may update this policy and will reflect changes with a new "Last Updated" date.
